Frequently Asked Questions

The Tours

  1. Is there a tour guide? No, it's just you and your puzzle partner. The story and puzzles are presented through your phone, and they give you the locations along your route.

  2. What should we bring?

    • Your phone, to access the story and puzzles.

    • Paper and pencil, to help you solve the puzzles.

    • Sunscreen and comfy shoes, of course.

    • A picnic blanket if you'd like to camp out on the grass.

  3. Are the stops within walking distance? Yes, you can generally expect to walk of about a mile, round trip.

  4. Are your tours good for kids? The puzzles may be tough for kids, especially younger kids, but the tour has a scavenger-hunt element that they usually enjoy. The content is pretty family friendly.

  5. Are there additional costs along the tour? Everything in your tour is already paid for, including tips. 

  6. How much time should we allow for the tour? Around 90 minutes, if you're on a mission. Longer if you want to be able to savor and soak in the sights.

  7. How does the food pick-up work? When you get to a restaurant, go in and tell them your name and that you're with Delicious Mystery. They will have your food ready for you, or coming right up. Everything is packaged to take out and eat al fresco.

  8. ​How hard are the puzzles? What if we get stuck? We try to make the puzzles pleasantly challenging, and if you get stuck, we have hints for you. (And the solutions, if you really need them. But you won't need them. We believe in you.)

  9. Do you have any COVID-19 policies? Yes, we ask that you please follow the current health guidelines in the local community and participating businesses.

The Food

  1. What if we have food allergies or dietary restrictions? Let us know when you book! We will do our very best to accommodate your needs; and, if we cannot, we will notify you as early as possible and offer you a refund. 

  2. Is the food a full meal? Quite. It will typically be something like a drink, 2 hearty tapas, and a dessert. Lahaina's got some extra goodies because we're really excited and we're going a little nuts.

  3. Are there drinks? The Lahaina tour has two refreshing (non-alcoholic) beverage stops; one at the beginning, and one at the end. Of course you are also fee to bring a water bottle and/or purchase additional drinks along the way.

Change and Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled tour time, and we will issue a full refund or help you book a different time. Unfortunately, due to our vendor commitments, we cannot offer changes or refunds within 24 hours of your scheduled booking.

Privacy Policy

All information we collect from you is used to communicate with you about your Delicious Mystery bookings; and to send you further Delicious Mystery news, if you choose to receive it.

We do not collect any personal information other than what we explicitly ask for; and we do not store personal information in cookies.


We share your name only with the businesses that participate in our tours, so they know to give you food when you show up. We do not share or sell any of your personal information for any other purpose.
